Bucur Church
Bucur Church, on Radu Vodă Hill, once served as the chapel of the neighboring monastery. Its dating remains disputed: tradition links it to the shepherd Bucur, the legendary founder of the city, a tradition already recorded in 1761 by the missionary Blasius Kleiner, but researchers usually place it in the 17th century, with rebuilding in the first half of the following century. On the 1844–1846 city plan it appears under the name of Bucur church. In 1909–1910 it was renovated by the architect George Sterian, who altered its exterior.
