Kretzulescu House (former Museum of Romanian Literature)
The Kretzulescu House at 12 Dacia Boulevard, dated 1863 and listed as a category A historic monument, was the seat of the National Museum of Romanian Literature between 1967 and 2014. The museum had been founded on 1 June 1957 by the academician Perpessicius and had first operated in the Toma Stelian house on Șoseaua Kiseleff. Evicted in 2014 after the building was returned to its former owners, it moved in 2017 to the former house of General Leon Mavrocordat, at 8 Nicolae Crețulescu Street. Its collections number more than 300,000 manuscripts, old books and memorial objects.
