Monument to the Heroes of World War I (Militari)
The obelisk was inaugurated on 1 December 1936 in honor of the soldiers from the former commune of Militari who fell in the War for National Unification (1916–1918). It is made of Câmpulung stone, on a rectangular plinth, and is crowned by a bronze eagle with outspread wings; on the obelisk there is a plaque with military insignia and a laurel wreath, also in bronze. The monument, on Uverturii Boulevard at the intersection with Dealul Țugulea Street, was restored in 1999 by the National Association for the Cult of Heroes.
