Church moved on rails · 1758 (translată în 1982)
Olari Church
Olari Church was built in 1758, at the height of the Phanariot era, by the potters' guild, during the reign of Prince Scarlat Ghica. The Cyrillic inscription carved into the entrance portal mentions Dumitru Racoviță, Mihai Băcanu and Iancu the captain, alongside the community of potters. The plan is triconch: the nave is crowned by a tower, and the bell tower rises above the pronaos. In September 1982, during the systematization of the Ceaușescu years, it was moved and rotated on rails, using the technique of building translocation, and thus escaped demolition.
