St. George Church – Andronache
The church was built between 1890 and 1900 on the estate of Gheorghe Niculescu-Andronache, from whom it took its dedication, through the efforts of his daughters, Alexandra Gh. Ioanin and Elena Vlădoianu, who were thus fulfilling their parents' wish. In 1920 it was donated to the Metropolitanate of Ungro-Wallachia and consecrated for the faithful of the area. The building, in an eclectic style with Neo-Byzantine and Neo-Romanian touches, has a triconch plan and three towers, and stands next to Andronache Forest and the Colentina river. After the 2017–2024 restoration it was reconsecrated in September 2024.
