St. Visarion Church
The new St. Visarion Church, on Visarion Street near Piața Romană, was built about 30 meters in front of the parish's old church, dating from 1797. The foundation stone was laid in 1910 and the consecration took place in 1913; besides St. Visarion, the church also has Saints Constantine and Helen as patrons. The building combines the Neo-Byzantine style with Moldavian elements: red brick facades, three octagonal towers and an oval porch with tall arches on stone columns. Among the founders painted inside are the couple Constantin and Elena Eraclide and King Carol I.
