Prof. Dr. Nicolae Minovici Folk Art Museum
The Minovici Villa, also known as the “Villa with Bells”, was built in 1905 to plans by the architect Cristofi Cerchez, at the entrance to Băneasa, opposite the Miorița Fountain. The house, open to visitors since 1914 and owned by the municipality since 1936, houses the “Prof. Dr. Nicolae Minovici” Folk Art Museum. The collection includes icons, ceramics, textiles, wooden objects and traditional musical instruments from all over the country, as well as documents about Dr. Minovici's work. It should not be confused with the “Eng. Dumitru Minovici” Museum of Old Western Art, which stands next door.
