Bust of Anton Pann

The bronze bust of Anton Pann, made by the sculptor Dimitrie D. Mirea, was unveiled in 1930 and stands on a tall stone pedestal in the courtyard of the Lucaci – St. Stelian Church on Logofăt Udriște Street, where the writer's grave is also located. Anton Pann (born between 1793 and 1797, died in 1854) was a poet, folklorist, publicist, teacher and composer of church music, and the author of the music of Romania's national anthem. Although small, the bust is appreciated for the clarity of the portrait and for the decoration of the pedestal.
